En la realidad actual de innovación tecnológica, la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) impacta significativamente el desarrollo de la humanidad. Este asunto genera interés en la producción científica, por ello el objetivo del artículo fue revelar el estado de las investigaciones sobre la trascendencia de la IA para la transformación social. La indagación siguió el enfoque cualitativo, persiguiéndose un fin descriptivo. Para el estudio de la información se adoptó el método hermenéutico cualitativo desde una perspectiva fenomenológica. Los datos se compilaron por medio de la revisión documental en fuentes de información secundaria. Los resultados indican predominio del consenso respecto al rol fundamental de la IA, como conjunto de herramientas tecnológicas para la transformación social. Asimismo, se identificaron los desafíos que modelan esta trascendencia y las áreas sociales donde la introducción de la IA produce transformaciones pertinentes. Se concluye que la IA impacta significativa y exponencialmente la transformación social.
In the current context of technological innovation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) exerts a significant impact on human development. This topic has generated growing interest in scientific research; therefore, the aim of this article is to present the current state of studies regarding the role of AI in social transformation. The investigation employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive purpose, using a qualitative hermeneutic method from a phenomenological perspective. Data were collected through document review of secondary sources. The results indicate a predominant consensus on the fundamental role of AI as a set of technological tools for driving social transformation. Furthermore, the study identifies the challenges shaping this impact and the social domains where AI implementation produces meaningful changes. Overall, the findings demonstrate that AI significantly influences and accelerates social transformation.
